On July 4, 2021, marked 245 years, the United States of America gained freedom from Great Britain. Annually, except 2020 due to a global COVID-19 pandemic, Fort Bragg, North Carolina military installation welcomed service members, families, and friends to celebrate USA Independence Day. They lounged on blankets and portable chairs, spectated at children playing, but waited for the sun to set. The rock band “Fifth” entertained the diverse crowd of all ages, but it was the legendary band “Foreigner” who pleaded “I want to know what love is?” In unison, the audience echoed “I want you to show me.” After the concert ended, the crowd quietly shifted their gaze upwards to appreciate the celebratory fireworks decorating the dark canvas sky.
