It's An Honor To Be Ready To Serve You

Updated: Feb 23, 2021

Within the next coming weeks, U.S. Active-Duty Troops are scheduled to receive deployment orders to join Health-Care workers wage war, in the US, against COVID-19 by aiding in the vaccination efforts. This strategy was adopted to reduce the infectious spread in the US.

The World Health Organization has reported approximately 80 million people are infected, and close to 500,000 have died but according to reports from the Center for Disease Control. optimism was near approaching to defeat the historic pandemic.

Active Duty Troopers are prepared to work jointly with health care workers all across the country, aiding in getting people vaccinated as quickly as possible.

The best weapon to use in the battle against the coronavirus are vaccinated Soldiers. Just like combat, to be ready for the frontline, Soldiers in the 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg,NC, pride themselves on their capability to achieve the nation's strategic goals, answer the call within 18 hours of notification to strategically deploy, conduct forcible entry parachute assault, and secure key objects for follow-on operations in support of U.S. national interest.

Currently, the US national interest focuses their efforts at home and maintaining a permanent level of readiness requires proactive foresight from 82nd ABN Div. leaders. The medical professionals on Fort Bragg train with that objective in mind.

The Forces preparedness in clinical integration, synchronization, emergencies and mass-casualty oriented exercises are the reasons the Pentagon and Federal Emergency Management Agency chose the Military as the best course of action get the job done.

Therefore, Operation Warp Speed should not pose a challenge for the 82nd ABN Div. active-duty medical Forces when called.

Commander of the 44th Medical Brigade, U.S. Army Col. James Burk, last December said, "the vaccine is safe, free and effective, and from a readiness standpoint," we need to be vaccinated so we can safely get back to work.

Last year, Army medical teams were promoting COVID-19 awareness and vaccination. By December 2020, Soldiers in the medical profession were among priority groups to receive the first batch of the Pfizer vaccine.

Getting vaccinated frontline combat medics and clinical Soldiers of the 82nd ABN Div. prove they are ready to boldly lead, or in many cases join, the fight in COVID-19 Operation Warp Speed's mission.
